Champions League: Real Madrid vs Paris Saint Germain Preview

Last night we witnessed an excellent show of tactics and skills in the match between Juventus and Tottenham

As for today the thrill is even bigger, the defending champion Real Madrid is facing probably the one of the biggest contenders for the throne – Paris Saint Germain.

For all football fans, there is needless to say that today is St. Valentines Day. I’ve heard a good joke and I would like ti share it with you.

The situation: A couple is talking about St. Valentines Day.

The Girl: -Sweetheart are you planning to take me somewhere for the day?

The Boy: – Do you love Madrid?

The Girl: -Yes, I love it! ,

The Boy: – Do you love, Paris? ,

The Girl: – Yes, I adore it!!!

The Boy: – Well, in that case I’ll buy the beer, you buy the snacks we’ll watch Real Madrid- Paris Saint Germain at my place tonight!!!

I hope you liked the joke, lets get on to the analysis…

Current form Real Madrid

Home form:   This year Real Madrid played 3 times at their home stadium and managed to Win 2 times, and secured a Draw.

In La Liga they have 3 Wins and 2 Lost games in the last 5 matches at home.

Current form Paris Saint Germain

Team News

Real Madrid recent form in La Liga is below their required level, they are focused now on the Champions League since the battle for La Liga is already lost.

They’ve won the game against Real Sociedad with 5:2, but Zinedine Zidane used the same team, as the one that will face PSG tonight.

Jesus Valejo,  Jesus Valejo, Luca Zidane and Dani Ceballos  are injured, Daniel Carvajal is suspended for the game.

Paris Saint Germain coach Unai Emery was cautious last game against Toulouse and left out Cavani, Verratti  and Kurzawa from the team.

Possible outcome Real Madrid vs Paris Saint Germain

This is the final before the final.

Real Madrid are focused on this competition, however their defense is their weakest side.

I’m not sure how will Nacho cope with the speed and skills from the left side.

On the right side PSG have Mbappe who is extremely skillful player, he is supposed to be guarded by Marcelo, but Marcelo has mainly offensive tasks.

In the central defense they have only Ramos which is a constant in his performances, however I can’t share the same opinion for Varane.

Having all this on mind, I believe that the battle will be in the midfield, but the speed and the skill of certain players will be decisive for this encounter.

My thoughts are that Paris Saint Germain have the upper hand in this match and will tightly win this game.
