Champions League: Juventus vs Tottenham Preview

After the break the excitements from Champions League are back again.

Today, the most interesting match will be between Juventus and Tottenham.

We will finally get to see whether Tottenham striker Harry Kane has the champion material and will be making the difference in this encounter.

Current form Juventus

Overall form: 3 Wins, 2 Draws and 1 Lost  game in the previous 6 CL games

Home form:   This year Juventus played 3 times at their home stadium and managed to Win 2 times, and secured a Draw.

In Serie A they have 3 consecutive wins at home with teams like Roma and Genoa.

Current form Tottenham

Overall form: 5 Wins and 1 Loss in the previous 6 CL games

Away form:   This year Tottenham played 3 times in CL away games, they’ve Won 2 times and had 1 Draw against Real Madrid.

Their away performance in the last 4 matches in Premier League is 2 Wins and 2 Draws.

Head to Head

Juventus and Tottenham have met twice, the last game was 05.08.2017 where Tottenham beat Juventus at home, and the game before that was played on 26/07/2016 in the Champions Cup in Australia, which was won by Juventus.

Team News

Juventus are entering this game with couple of key players missing due to injury: Juan Cuadrado, Paulo Dybala,  Blaise Matuidi, and Andrea Barzagli.

Paulo Dybala is one of the leading strikers in Juventus, and they’ll miss his passes and shots on goal.

Juan Cuadrado will be missed as well since he assisted 4 goals.

Mauricio Pochettino will have the full Tottenham team, missing only Tobby Alderweireld.

He might start the game with Loucas Moura in the first eleven, since Heung-Min has shown a dip in his recent form.

Possible outcome

There is no easy game in the Champions League, this is one of the hard ones.

But, I believe that the fact that there are too many attacking options missing for Juventus, and bearing in mind that they are heavy on the defensive lines, regardless of the current form of Harry Kane, this match will have no winner.
